Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Everyone! No one really reads this blog yet, but a lot will soon. ;) I've been home for a couple of days now and here's what has happened the past few days:

1. Hung out with Erick Yamagata most of the time & helped him run errands for his Christmas Eve party (which happened last night & it was a blast- we made gingerbread houses, played bingo, & ate really good food.)

2. I've eaten soooo much rice and chicken these past few days then i've ever had my whole entire life. Seriously.

3. My mom came to a conclusion after talking about my future, & she just wants to send me to China after I graduate if I can't find a job, so I can learn Chinese with the 1st graders and in return I can teach them English.  She was REALLY happy with her conclusion.

4. Saw Skyfall 007 with my mom & stepdad, I haven't been to the movie theaters with my family since that one movie called "Dinosaur" came out which was in 2002 maybe?

5. I received a juicer from Mark- I'm so excited to start juicing!!

But the true meaning of Christmas is to celebrate the birth of our Lord & Savor Jesus Christ.

Advice from Jared Cook:

"This advice might be stupid and you don't have to listen to me... but JUST DON'T BE SCARED. You have to experience things that will scare you, so that you have more courage to do it. So just make that S-turn and if you fall, you fall.  But you know that it's coming, so you won't be scared anymore.  You can't be scared to try new things or else you could miss out on something great. Sometimes you have to just go for it. Just do it."

12/12/12- Tonight I went night boarding for the first time and it was a GREAT EXPERIENCE. I didn't fall too much, but I tried to learn something new. S-turns. Basically, it's the basic of all snowboarding skills. If you can master the S-turn, it's just an easy ride from there that can help you improve your snowboarding skills x 100. But I get too scared/nervous to dig my toes in deeper to turn right. I always rely on leaning back because that's what I feel most comfortable with. I went with Hank Brown and Jared Cook who are both great guys.  We went to Brighton to go snowboarding & I had a lot of fun! So next time, I'll try Jared's advice.

Thanks.

5 Things I'm recently grateful for:
(family, friends, jobs, school, etc- that counts all the time)

1. Trials- as much as i HATE having trials, i love learning from them.  They make me stronger every day and it's what I need to prepare me for my future.  Heavenly Father won't give us trials that we can't over come. He knows we can.

2. Missionary Work- my girl friends are dropping like flies.  My good friend Suzie Dutson just got called to the Santiago Chile North mission.  After seeing her open it, I had a feeling that I should go on a mission.  I'm not 100% sure, but 50% of me wants to find that little girl who was just like me and convert her, and the other 50% wants to stay in Provo and finish school.  So, i'm not sure yet and I have  to be 100% if I'm going to serve a mission.

3. Nature- Wednesday, November 21st, I hiked Rock Canyon with my friends Paul Swindler, Brett Gardiner, Kristine Wait, and Nolan Bradshaw.  It was an intense hike, but the view at the top was wayyy worth it in the end. The view overlooked Provo & you could see the Provo Temple perfectly.  Nature is such a beautiful thing & we take for granted in Utah because it's in our own backyard.

4. My bed- sleep is so important to me since i'm so busy with school, work and trying to have a social life.  My bed is the one that will take me in at every night and make sure I'm well rested for the next day.

5. Tights- I just figured out that I can wear a lot of my summer dresses.  All I do is add tights. & viola! A winter get up. :)
