Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Everyone! No one really reads this blog yet, but a lot will soon. ;) I've been home for a couple of days now and here's what has happened the past few days:

1. Hung out with Erick Yamagata most of the time & helped him run errands for his Christmas Eve party (which happened last night & it was a blast- we made gingerbread houses, played bingo, & ate really good food.)

2. I've eaten soooo much rice and chicken these past few days then i've ever had my whole entire life. Seriously.

3. My mom came to a conclusion after talking about my future, & she just wants to send me to China after I graduate if I can't find a job, so I can learn Chinese with the 1st graders and in return I can teach them English.  She was REALLY happy with her conclusion.

4. Saw Skyfall 007 with my mom & stepdad, I haven't been to the movie theaters with my family since that one movie called "Dinosaur" came out which was in 2002 maybe?

5. I received a juicer from Mark- I'm so excited to start juicing!!

But the true meaning of Christmas is to celebrate the birth of our Lord & Savor Jesus Christ.

Advice from Jared Cook:

"This advice might be stupid and you don't have to listen to me... but JUST DON'T BE SCARED. You have to experience things that will scare you, so that you have more courage to do it. So just make that S-turn and if you fall, you fall.  But you know that it's coming, so you won't be scared anymore.  You can't be scared to try new things or else you could miss out on something great. Sometimes you have to just go for it. Just do it."

12/12/12- Tonight I went night boarding for the first time and it was a GREAT EXPERIENCE. I didn't fall too much, but I tried to learn something new. S-turns. Basically, it's the basic of all snowboarding skills. If you can master the S-turn, it's just an easy ride from there that can help you improve your snowboarding skills x 100. But I get too scared/nervous to dig my toes in deeper to turn right. I always rely on leaning back because that's what I feel most comfortable with. I went with Hank Brown and Jared Cook who are both great guys.  We went to Brighton to go snowboarding & I had a lot of fun! So next time, I'll try Jared's advice.
